questions and amazement
I took yesterday off, so that I could have some time to myself but recieved a call at 6am from my friend who was up at OHSU trying to deliver her baby girl a few weeks early. She and her husband have 4 children already and she is just a little bit younger than I. Her husband is in the military and has been in a specialized training school in Biloxi for the last 3 months. So, I am her family for this event. As I have been for two of the previous births.
(I should keep from venting on-line, deleted for hind-sight reasons)
If I haven't told you how appreciative I am, let it be now that you know.

be careful, sweet pea...i understand where you are comming from with the giving for the beauty and the honest rightness of the situation...but if you are walked on for long enough, eventually little seeds of resentment don't actually wash out with the magic morning shampoo; and before you know it, you will be having a bad-hair-year and blaming yourself for it. never forget that there is something to doing honestly good things for people, even if there is no one who notices, responds or cares...you know you are fantastic and that should keep you warm at night even if people tend towards ignorant/stupid action. i swear, the good will come back to you when you really need it:) i think you are cool!
btw, it was super sweet that you and the man came to see me on my birthday...totally unexpected and really great! thanks!
