No kids yet!

It is this crazy game... the system that is supposed to help them also allows them to get their hopes up in a losing battle. Inevitably the boys current foster care provider will lose her license and all this fighting the boys are doing to stay with her will all be for nothing. It's a cruel game. And while Dan and I are feeling a little bit like yo-yos being told they will be moving in tomorrow night and the next minute a couple of weeks and then the next call we get says monday and last heard it will now be wednesday. Ultimately, we have prepared to pour ourselves into them for the next few weeks until they realize they can trust us and get comfortable. We are willing to invest everything we can in them. It will all be worth it in the end. The best part is I finally learned their last names and called the high-school counselor with whom I'm friends with as she was my counselor also and she told me they couldn't have picked two better boys for us. They both are 'A' students, great in the sports they are involved with and just all around good kids. That was a relief to find out.

Aside from this soap opera we have had beautiful inches of snow and dog crisis. Our poor yellow lab Sadie has had an operation to push back in a hernia that had ripped through the muscles in her vagina and was hanging out the back of her like a softball... and I'm still trying to maintain my normal 8am-to 5pm work schedule. (yes that has suffered a bit, but my bosses are so wonderful!)

So, this next week is filled with more unsteadiness and craze but we made it through last week and I'm looking forward to this week. Hope all you all are well and happy although after reading some of your entries... I've a different hunch about that but you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Luvyabuhbye!
