Yeah for going out alone (outside my comfort zone)!

So I went out last night with the intention of meeting my husband downtown and being an anti-social wallflower, but I was delighted to hang out with new faces. I can’t say I was the best conversationalist and I did try to be anti-social for a little bit, but I realize that when I am being shy it may come off as snobby or unfriendly so I’m trying to get over that. I had a great time at Dante’s with a new friend, the Lovely Semaphoria, watching her husband/my old college friend’s new band who rocked. They had a sound that was a little NIN, a little bit Sound Garden and definitely a sound of their own. I was really impressed and loved their lead singer, that guy can sing! Their band is called ‘Drunk on Power’ so if you ever hear they are playing you should definitely check them out. After the fun at Dante’s I went back to the Boiler Room expecting to meet my huz there but his class ran pretty late and he decided to just go home. So I hung out with a couple friends there DEX, IBRT, Sam, John, Rob and Clarissa the Bartender. I had such a great time, a couple free drinks, sang Veruca Salt-Seether, an ABBA song- Fernando, and unfortunately a very tipsy-not-sung-so-well Evanescence – Bring Me to Life. But again I had such a great time hanging out with the guys and hearing good music with friends before bad karaoke and best part of all… I got home at 2am and woke up and made it to work on time and in a good mood. Yes, hooray for Wednesday night fun.
